The second call for the scientific-educational event "Human and Environment"

The second scientific-educational event of the textbook "Human and Environment," aimed at connecting formal education with practical action, enhancing environmental responsibility, and nurturing an aware and active generation, will be held for eleventh-grade students and teachers in the second phase of secondary education.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Educational Research and Planning Organization, in response to increasing environmental challenges such as water scarcity, air pollution, dust storms, biodiversity loss, and natural resource depletion, the second scientific-educational event of the "Human and Environment" textbook will be organized in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Organization and the Educational Research and Planning Organization.
Environmental Education: From Textbook to Lived Experience
This event is designed with an educational and problem-based approach, aiming to extend environmental learning beyond textbook study and connect it to lived experience, practical action, and social participation by students and teachers. The eleventh-grade textbook "Human and Environment" also encourages students to observe, question, analyze, and actively engage in addressing real environmental issues.
Cultivating a Responsible and Hopeful Generation for the Environment
The overarching goal of this event is to nurture an informed, responsible, and hopeful generation that feels committed to their environment and develops the ability to act and participate in solving environmental challenges. Among the event's objectives are creating opportunities for creativity, strengthening critical thinking, promoting cooperation and teamwork, encouraging sustainable lifestyles, and reinforcing the link between formal education and practical action.
Seven Key Themes Based on the "Human and Environment" Textbook
The thematic axes of the event are defined according to the seven chapters of the "Human and Environment" textbook: "Water, the Source of Life," "Soil, the Foundation of Life," "Air, the Breath of Life," "Energy, the Movement of Life," "Waste, the Environmental Disaster," "Biodiversity, the Beautiful Canvas of Creation," and "Environment, the Foundation of Responsible Tourism."
Scientific and Creative Competition in Three Main Sections
This event will be held in three sections: "Students," "Teachers," and a "Special Section for Creating Educational Multimedia Content Using Artificial Intelligence." In the student section, entries such as photos, videos, artistic and graphic works, and scientific, practical, and research projects will be accepted. Teachers can also submit innovative lesson plans, creative educational programs, and school-based participation initiatives. The special section is dedicated to producing posters, info graphics, motion graphics, educational apps, and websites related to environmental education.
Two-Stage Professional Judging at Provincial and National Levels
Entries will be judged in two stages: provincial and national, with winners advancing from one stage to the next. The national organizing committee of this event is based at the Environmental Education and Environmental Stewardship Center of the Environmental Protection Organization, and the judging will be conducted by experts in environmental education, authors of the "Human and Environment" textbook, experienced teachers, and education and environmental protection specialists.
Event Timeline and Prizes for Winners
The call for entries began in mid-Aban month, and the deadline for submitting entries will be in mid-Bahman. Provincial results will be announced at the end of Ordibehesht 1405, and national results will be announced in summer 1405. The closing ceremony and awards for winners will be held at the provincial level simultaneously with Environment Week and at the national level during one of the environmental calendar events.
