Seminar in Egypt to Discuss English Translations of Quran

The Languages and Translation Faculty of Al-Azhar University in Cairo will host the scholarly event, al-Yawm al-Sabi website reported.
Ahmed Shafiq, professor of English literature at the Languages and Translation Faculty, will address the seminar, which is slated to be held on March 8.
The faculty also plans a number of other seminars in religious issues including one on “Translation of Religious Fatwas” and another featuring “Efforts by Indian and Pakistani Scholars in the Field of Islamic Studies”.
