Brick flooring of historical mansion discovered in northwestern Iran

The head of the exploration team of Arg-e Tabriz, or 'Alishah Mosque', and Fathollahov historical mansion in Tabriz, Bahram Ajorloo said that during the period the team discovered evidence of the remains of the structure and foundation of a probable Qajar castle of Tabriz as well as stone and clay structures pertaining to some type of water transfer system.

The archeologist listed the latest discoveries in the areas as the clay pieces dating back to the early Islamic era, particularly from the Ilkanid up to the Qajar dynasties, as well as some pre-Islamic pieces.

He pointed out that in the course of the explorations the archeology team managed to identify, excavate and document the remains of the destroyed brick flooring of the yard of the historical Fathollahov mansion as well as an adobe structure which had been registered in the geophysical maps of Koroush Mohammad Khani.
