According to a report from the University of Goethe, this cultural project is defined by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Mercator Foundation and will be implemented by 2020.
The project 'Creating Databases for Quranic Interpretations' has been established with the cooperation of four universities of Goethe, Frankfurt am Main, Gisen and Hamburg.
While most of the research on the Quran has been done so far in writing, the plan seeks to provide a digital version of it.
The verbal, legal, linguistic, lexical, phonetic, grammatical, and intertextual variables will be involved in the implementation of this plan.
In this way, new information about the history, source of Islam and also Quranic interpretations will be made available online to everyone. Along with the information contained in narratives, this online database will also provide them with documents.
