‘Learning will be e-based in Iran in future’

E-learning will dominate Iran’s schools and universities in the near future, the secretary of the 12th National Conference on e-Learning and e-Teaching (ICeLeT 2018) said on Sunday.

Some 3,000 students are participating in e-learning courses in Iran’s universities and their scientific achievements combined with the increasing recognition of e-learning benefits will lead to the domination of this method in the near future, Fars news agency quoted Omid Fatemi as saying.

According to the official website of ICeLeT 2018, the conference attempts to provide a forum to present the latest researches and technological advances in the field of e-learning with the cooperation of all universities, research centers, scholars and practitioners. 

The conference includes all relevant aspects of e-learning in various scopes of engineering and technology and pedagogy and education.

The conference is underway in University of Tehran from February 28 to March 5.

The main topics of ICeLeT 2018 were art of learning/teaching in electronic contents, open education resources, business in electronic contents, the role of new technologies in development of e-learning environments and ubiquitous learning.
