According to the Public Relations of OERP, Alireza Asareh, head of research center of Ministry of Education said to FARS news, answering the question “whether there has been any research, concerning revising the educational calendar?” : We are quite serious at this, but the problem lies within our educational system. Our educational system is a centered one, which means the vacations for students of northern parts of the country, is the same as southern parts.
He assured that this subject is serious and a committee is charged to study it, of course, there would be a trial in some provinces. I believe that the new calendar will be tried in some provinces, next year.
