“Iran’s Father of Geology”

Memorial Postal stamp of “Iran’s Father of Geology” was unveiled in national Geology convention

According to IRIB-Arak, national convention of “Medical Geology and Mineral Therapy” was held in Payam Noor University of Arak.

Objective of this convention is connecting Medical science to Geology and Mineral Therapy and medicines, says Fooladvand, General Manager of Education of Markazi province. This is a new line of science in Iran and there are some articles about in textbooks, now.

In the first “National Convention of Medical Geology and Mineral Therapy” which hosted guests from 11 provinces, articles about minerals in medicine and pharmacology, dirt and minerals and pathogenesis, studying precious stones and … were presented. Also, Dr. Bazoobandi, author of the new Geology textbook for 11^th grade explained some points about objectives of this book, and teaching methods.
