“Reform Document” is the axis and center of our plans and actions

Minister of Education says that execution of “Reform Document” is the base of what this ministry does. 

According to the Public Relations of the Ministry of Education, Fakhreddin Danesh Ashtiani said after the session of “Education and Research Committee” of the parliament: This session was about “2030 Document”, actions and uncertainties.

Minister of Education added: I argued that this frame of actions is not signed by any of Islamic Republic authorities and thus there is no obligation. This document is just a statement and for us, “Reform Document” is mandatory and it must be mentioned that many of articles discussed in “2030 Document” also exist in “Reform Document”, only more comprehensive.

Claiming that we are committed to execute “Reform Document”, he said: Because of international issues, we comply with the items which have no contradictions with our beliefs. But our presence in international scenes doesn’t question our moral values; it only proves that educational standards in Islamic Republic of Iran are worthy and internationally presentable standards.

This statement (2030 Document) or any other documents of this kind are not going to be the center of our actions, added Minister of Education.

Unfortunately they talk about the items in media and object the things that don’t even exist in “2030 Document” and still, Islamic Republic of Iran has preserved his right to restrain, just to leave no misgiving, added he.

Dr. Danesh Ashtiani continued: Even though this statement is not obligatory, Minister of Education at the time, has obtained “restrain right” for Islamic Republic of Iran. This means if we find an item controversial to our religious bielifs, we will not apply it and there would be no problem about it. Center of our work is what Supreme Leader has instructed and contents of “Reform Document”.

Answering some members of Parliament complaining delays in execution of “Reform Document”, he said: Planning for many of articles of this document has been done and many of these items are already under execution but “Educational System Reform Document” is not to be executed in a year or two. One of the most important items of this document is changing textbooks according to “Reform Document” and it has been done up to 11^th grade, which is a great achievement in this respect.
