“There have been continuous needs assessment and researching on writing textbooks for vocational training and work and knowledge educational branches. The programming has been made after concluding needs assessments and views of experts,” he told Iran News Network (INN) channel.
He continued 10 development documents, including analysis of general policies of the Islamic Revolution Supreme Leader’s on vocational training have been considered for each major in vocational training system, adding photographics, production of television program, mechatronics, interior architecture and transportation are majors added for the new educational year in vocational training schools.
Dourandish further said that 200 textbooks and their guides have been written this year for the 11th grade in both vocational training and work and knowledge schools, adding the books written for these schools have shifted their focus from merely memorizing to learning vocational skills.
He finally noted that realities of the world today show that learning merely knowledge is not sufficient, and students must have learnt professional ethics, interaction with the workplace, time management and technology as well.
