110,000 Afghan students studying in Iran's schools

Gholam Reza Karimi, head of the International Affairs and Schools Abroad, said in an interview with the education correspondent of the Fars News Agency, that The instructions for enrollment of foreign students in the country will be communicated  by the next week.

 

He continued: "Currently, 453,000 foreign students study in the country's schools, where 419,000 of them are Afghan citizens."

 

Pointing that 110,000 Afghan students studying in Iran's schools do not have identity papers, Karimi said that Iran's education policy is that all Afghan students who have certificates of health and letters from the Ministry of the Interior Local Government can study in Iranian schools.

He added: "The turning point of activity on the foreign students in the country has been the decree of the Supreme Leader on the enrollment of  these students since 2014.”
