11th Session of the Iranian National Committee for Higher Education of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO 

Decisions taken in line with the agenda:
Item 1:
Considering the inter-sectoral nature of preparing and implementing the National 2030 Education Document, which calls for the participation of all education-related entities as well as policy-making organisations, a number of meetings were held at the Technical, Research and Scientific Commission of the Cabinet, where the full participation of the Iranian Ministries of Education; Science, Research and Technology; Labour, Cooperatives and Social Welfare and Health and Medical Education; as well as the Management and Planning Organzation of Iran and other related entities was called for.
The Minister of Education was selected as the Chair of the Committee for Developing the National 2030 Education Document and the Secretary General of the Iran-NatCom was chosen as the Secretary of this committee.

Item 2:
The Head of the Education Department of the NatCom, Dr Mohebhosseini, reported on the14th Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education. The issue of the accession of the IR of Iran to this convention was discussed and decision was taken to have this conveyed to the Office for Legal Affairs of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further follow-up.

Item 3:
The Head of the Education Department of the NatCom, Dr Mohebhosseini, distributed the relevant guide sheet for preparing reports. The items and sub-items on the guide sheet were all determined according to and in view of UNESCO’s activities on related issues. These guide sheets were prepared in accordance with the responsibilities of the eight task groups of the Iranian National Committee for Higher Education of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.

Item 4:
Decision was taken regarding the continuance of the membership of members to the Committee for Higher Education who were mainly absent in the Committee’s sessions.
