1257 educational videos were sent to the Secretariat of the Roshd International Film Festival

According to the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Education, as quoted by Alireza Kazemi that the press conference of the Forty-Seventh International Film Festival of Roshd is being held at the cultural capital of the Islamic world and he stated that we are ready to welcome this festival, as the festival is one of the most important and most worthwhile film festivals. This festival is based on education and the process of teaching and learning.

Director General of Department of Education in Khorasan Razavi said: “all decisions and policies of the Forty-Seventh Festival from zero to hundred were assigned to Khorasan Razavi province for the first time, this is what makes a fundamental difference with its past forty-six past years.”

He stated that we have started planning the festival about seven months ago in the province, saying that for this festival 15 committees have been set up, which have begun their work since the month of Ordibehesht .

Mr. Kazemi reminded that this festival is of particular importance to Mashhad from different dimensions. First, due to its nature, it is an opportunity to introduce Mashhad's capacities as the cultural capital of the Islamic world. Next, it is the topic of education; the film festival is the best platform for the education system. From another perspective, our approach is to cross the monopoly of educational books to educational content, which naturally can affect the process of teaching and learning in this festival.

He stated: “One of the areas of the cultural and artistic field of the Film Festival is growth, which can help the students to create arts and knowledge. Identifying and discovering the talents of the Seventh Art in the shortest time and providing the best educational tips are another goal of the festival.” He emphasized that the policy of this festival is paying attention to all cultural and artistic spheres, while attention to educational movies is one of the main concerns of this festival.

Referring to the soft war field, he said: "Our country in today's society needs attention to the strategic cinema in the field of soft war. I believe that by making films that offer new opportunities for Iran's movies, it could bring new meaning to the Iranian society, and cultural, intellectual products.”

He also said: "Cinema in society can create the atmosphere of new discourse in the country, region and international environment and create new dialogues. If cinema and cyberculture are given more attention, it will certainly have its own positive impact which will require more attention to this art.”

He emphasized that cinema is a space for the emergence of cultural and artistic and educational creativity. Another dimension of this festival is the development and promotion of media literacy which is one of the challenges facing our community and our students today. They do not have media literacy and the Roshd Festival can help improve media literacy among the people of the society and the students as well.

He noted that 40 countries have sent their works to Iran, where 17 countries have paved their way to the final section of the festival. By now the number of works in educational films submitted to the Secretariat is 1257.
