The supervisor of Iranian dispatched teams Morteza Farazmand told IRNA that some 14 Iranian student teams from Tehran, Zanjan, Shahrud, Qazvin, Shiraz and Abhar cities took part in the event.
He noted that Iran ranked 5th in the last edition of the event.
The event aims at finding innovative solutions using robotic technology to reduce, manage and recycle waste.
The 13th World Robot Olympiad was organized by National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) in collaboration with the India STEM Foundation (ISF).
