28 women will be honored at the scholarly event for their Quranic activities, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Abdollahian, the secretary of the congress said.
He said the women are active in the fields of Quranic research, Quranic arts, recitation, memorization, teaching, etc.
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Abdollahian, "Quran and Imam Reza (AS)” is the theme of this year’s congress.
He said papers on this theme will be presented at the congress and later published in Bayynat and Bisharat Quranic magazines.
The cleric expressed hope that the event can be a step toward serving Quran researchers.
The congress is annually held with the aim of promoting Quranic activities among women.
