The need to travel is an innate need and the movement has been placed in human beings from the beginning of the creation. The spirituality approach to tourism is considered as the most important and profound impact of tourism. Under these circumstances, tourism can be considered as a means of giving meaning to life, finding identity and spiritual growth. In this regard, the conference on Tourism and Spirituality (ICTS 2016) is looking for the direction and tangibility of this capability in different types of tourism.
The First International Conference on Tourism and Spirituality (ICTS 2016) will be held on 27-28th January 2016 and intends to examine the concept of spirituality in tourism. The conference will bring together leading researchers, academics, practitioners, policy-makers, industry and government officials in the domain of interest from around the world to present their work, ideas, and practical experiences on the state of Tourism and Spirituality.
The thematic sections of ICTS 2016 are “Philosophy & Religion”, “Psychology & Morality”, “Culture & Society”, and “Management & Economy”.
The aim of ICTS 2016 is seeking high quality submissions in the broad field of Tourism studies and also to enhance international academic exchanges on related topics and know the most up-to-date academic trends. Never before have there been call for papers, with such diverse expressions on tourism and spirituality.
ICTS 2016 will be organized by University of Science & Culture (USC) in partnership with the Academic Center for Education & Culture Research (ACECR) and aims at providing a forum to share research and discuss ideas and challenges related to spirituality in tourism and address human needs.
