22% share of Iranian universities among world's tops

Hossein Salar Amoli said on Monday at the first general assembly of the Virtual Universities Network of Islamic World, which is currently taking place at Payam Noor University, 18 percent of universities at graduate levels in Iran are listed in the list of the best universities.

He added that 1.95 percent of world-class research is being produced by the Iranian universities, and one percent of the world's most cited articles belong to Iran.

The ministry's official said several small satellites are being designed and considerd to be launched in the orbit.

He added, 'Over the last few years, there are two thousand active knowledge-based companies in Iran, and commercialization of research and research is part of Iran's policies.'

“Prior to recognizing the importance of sustainable development over the past 40 years, science and technology were of great importance to us, and the human resources played a key role in this area,' Salar Amoli said
