2nd Mustafa Scientific Prize slated for 3 Dec

Ali Omrani, the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Mustafa Prize, made the announcement during a talk with Mehr News correspondent on Friday, adding “over thousand prominent figures active in various fields of technology have received the call for submission for the second round of the Mustafa Prize, and over 300 organizations will take part in the event.”

According to him, over sixty scientists from the Muslim world will attend this year’s edition of the competition as guests.

The prize will be awarded to the selected laureates in four categories of “Life and Medical Science and Technology”, Information and Communication Technology”, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, “All areas of Science and Technology”.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 3, 2017 at Vahdat Hall, Tehran, and the name of the laureates will be formally announced before the ceremony through a special program.

The first awards ceremony of the Mustafa Prize was held in 2015 in Tehran, where Professor Omar Yaghi from Jordan and Professor Jackie Ying from Singapore nabbed the award in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and the Bio-nanotechnology categories, respectively.
