Head of East Azarbaijan Arts Bureau Hassan Milani told reporters on Tuesday that in addition to Iranian professors, 30 literati and professors from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan Republic will take part in the upcoming event.
He further noted that Ali Akbar Nateq-Nouri, a member of Expediency Council, deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance for parliamentary affairs and head of State Arts Bureau will attend the congress as special guests.
The congress will officially kick off in Tabriz University's Vahdat Hall on Wednesday and will work until Thursday, Milani said.
After the inaugural ceremony, Shahriar tomb in Tabriz will be showered with petals, he said, noting that a panel discussion on Shahriar poetry and introducing Azarbaijani luminaries are on the agenda.
The closing ceremony is to be held in Aras Free Zone on Thursday.
Special programs of the congress include Tabriz tour and visit to cultural attractions across the city and landscapes of Aras Zone, the official said.
Some 90 articles have been submitted to the secretariat of the congress of which 24 have been selected to publish to be distributed during the event, he said.

Shahriar was the first Iranian Azarbaijani to compose significant poetry in Azari language. He published his first book of poems in 1929. His poetry is mainly influenced by Hafez, a famous Persian poet.
His most famous Azari language poem 'Heydar-Babaya Salam' has so far been translated into 90 languages.
