'The ISI which constantly updates its list of top universities of the world included 30 Iranian universities among the most influential in the world in accordance with the information it has gathered on the top world universities over past 10 years,' said Dr. Mohammad-Javad Kemani in an interview with IRNA Scientific Desk.
He said that the relative ISI list is updated once every two months and in that process those universities that fail to gain the required credit points are omitted.
The head of Islamic World Database Center said that while electing the most influential universities of the world first the extent of their influence in scientific, technological and industrial developments of the world is indicated and in the next phase only the remaining top one percent is included in the ISI list of the most influential universities of the world.
Dehqani said that the ISI list inclusive of the name of 30 Iranian universities was issued last week and the issue is naturally a great pride for the country's scientific society.
