This is according to Ali Asghar Shu’a’I, deputy of Quran and Etrat Office of the University of Quranic Teachings and Sciences, who said that the festival will be held from November 10 to 13.
He said that this edition of the Quranic event will be held with the participation of more than 11000 male and female students taking part.
They include 120 in the written section, 285 in the oral section, 120 in research, 80 in technology, 360 in artworks and 160 in the literary section.
Memorization of the entire Quran, 20, 10 and 5 Juzes (parts) of Quran, Tarteel and Tahqeeq recitation, Adhan and eulogy are the categories of the festival’s oral section.
In the written section, the students will compete in Islamic injunctions, Seerah of the infallibles (as), Hadith, supplication, Quran translation, Quranic concepts, etc.
The secretary of this edition of the festival added that the artworks section will include categories such as illumination, poster design, wood cutting, short film, photography, painting, calligraphy, etc and those competing in the literary section should write film script, poetry, story, etc.
Participants in the research section will compete on essay writing and summary and analysis of books and those attending the section of technology should send their weblogs and software products for the festival.
The 29th edition of the Quran and Etrat festival was held with more than 400 university students in the city of Isfahan.
