Ali Gazani said that regarding the knowledge production quantity among 70 top world universities, Tehran University Medical Sciences ranked 26th in pharmacology and toxicology, Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran University and Iran University of Science and Technology ranked 50, 52, 56, 69 respectively in engineering fields and Tehran University stood in 64th in agriculture fields.
He added that 30 Iranian universities were among world most effective in May, 2015; the figure increased to 33 in October.
He reiterated that some 14 Universities of Applied Science and Technology, 10 Medical science universities and research institutes, 8 industrial universities, 2 decentralized Universities and a research center from Iran are among world most effective.
