46th Roshd International Film Festival

The art as ensoulment of commitment and dignity to human sprit has had an indispensable role in the rich and ever-growing Islamic and Iranian culture . Sublime art means seeing all beauty and sweetnessat the heigh of stiffness and sadness as HazratZeinab kobra (SA) the daughter of Imam Ali (AS) to whom thses days belong eloquently said : I did not see any thing but beauty (in Ashura)”. Undoubtedly the 7^th art as the magic Iantern and the essence of all other artistic forms plays the role of a powerful and profound media and its importance has been doubled in modern days . Roshd International Film Festival for educational movies as an icon and symbol flourished from the core of national education system of Islamic Republic of Iran has paved the way of growing the talents of the younger generation of Iranian committed filmmakers and introducing the most glorious international educational films to our society for decades and now on the verge of the 46^th anniversary of this brilliant and important cultural and educational festival , it is essential to review what has been done yet and what is planned to be done in future.

Within forty five previous rounds of RIFF , many highly valuable works especially those directed by teachers and students filmmakers have been supported and a suitable ground for growing a rich cinematic culture has been evolved and consequently , Roshd International Film Festival has gained international tributes and respects. In recent years , and with boosting the Preparation of educational Package approach to gain the objectives of the National Curriculum of Islamic Republic of Iran, the role of film and other dramatic works such as fiction ,documentary and animation movies has been focused by formal education system and as a result , RIFF is an indispensable opportunity to discover and introduce potentialities and capabilities of educational film genre both at domestic and international level . I wholeheartedly hope that holding the 46^th round of this festival of light and images help us showing a harmonious and beautiful pictures of the potentials and capabilities of Islamic Republic of Iran in field of science , education and culture to the world.
