48th Int’l Roshd Film Festival opens

Secretary of the festival Vahid Nikkhah-Azad told the inaugural ceremony that this is not an official ceremony; rather it is a friendly gathering.

Appreciating the presence of noted figures in the ceremony, he added that without their cooperation, holding the festival was not possible.

During the ceremony, a traditional music ensemble performed pieces which were welcomed by the audience.

Films from UK, India, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Denmark, the Philippines, and Finland have participated in the narrative short films section of the festival.

Roshd Film Festival mainly focuses on the films with educational and pedagogical themes.

It is organized by the Supplying Educational Media Center, a sub-branch of the Iranian Ministry of Education.

The 48th International Roshd Film Festival are being held from November 16-23.
