According to IBNA, the second news conference of Culture Ministry’s Spokesman prior to the 28th TIBF was held at the Ministry’s central building with the participation of media representatives.
“We hope to see the presence of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei] in this year’s exhibition which will encourage the organizers of the fair and the custodians of art and culture,” Noushabadi said.
Following the meeting, he pointed to the distinctive features of this year’s Book Fair and said: “Due to the increase in both quality and quantity of books this year compared with the past, and people’s interest to get the books directly from the publishers, the exhibition will have a more cheerful atmosphere and will be more prosperous compared with the previous years.”
He added that this policy was also intended last year but was not welcomed for some reasons: “However, we plan to actively engage the private publishers and experts in activities relevant to holding the Book Fair.”
