Afghan minister calls for academic ties with Ferdowsi University

She made the remarks in a meeting with Ferdowsi University Chancellor Mohammad Kafi.
Afghan minister said that there are three higher education institutes active in Afghanistan, which is Islamic Azad University, Payam-e-Nour and Jame'at al-Mostafa Alalamiyeh.
Momand said that academic capacities in Afghanistan is not enough for all high school graduates and that there are 35 universities and public higher education institutes as well as 101 private universities and higher education institutes in Afghanistan, but people, usually do not have necessary confidence in the private ones.
She said that Afghanistan higher education system needs cooperation with Ferdowsi University in the field of research.
Momand said that there are plenty of commonalties between the two countries and scientific interaction would be done easier.
Kafi said that Ferdowsi University is interested in interaction with its Afghan neighboring country and it already started its scientific works with Afghanistan private universities, especially in Heart.
Kafi said that Ferdowsi University had done vast activities in the field of distance learning and there is readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan higher education system in this field.
The chancellor said that Ferdowsi University has good experiences in the field of reeducating and training courses for instructors.
Kafi added that the university held such courses for Iraqi instructors, although in English language, while holding them for Afghan instructors would be much easier by common Persian language.
During war in Afghanistan, Iran was hosting many Afghan refugees and many of them educated in Ferdowsi University and the Iranian university is proud of having educated many Afghan directors.
