Touring Mashhad Islamic Azad University, he added that given its social conditions, Afghanistan requires exchange of cultural and academic know-how for promoting scientific centers.
Islamic Azad University can play crucial role in this respect in view of its capabilities, he noted.
He called for research cooperation in joint projects including water resources.
Referring to studying of 11,000 Afghan students in Iranian higher education centers, Baberi hoped that academic science in Afghanistan will improve through Iran's cooperation.
Chancellor of Mashhad Azad University Ali Sheikholeslam said that international division with a capacity of 6,000 students of the university will soon launch in near future.
Cooperation agreements have already been signed between Kabul University and Mashhad Azad University which will hopefully help promote mutual cooperation among the academic centers.
