Ambassador hails Iran-Turkey scientific, educational capacities

He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony commemorating elite students in the premises of Turkey Republic High Education Council.

The conference was attended by Afghan, Pakistani and Turkmen ambassadors in Ankara.

In a meeting with the head of Turkey Republic High Education Council Yekta Serac, Taherian reviewed the growing trend of scientific, educational and research cooperation between Tehran and Ankara.

Referring to considerable scientific and educational capacities of Iran and Turkey, Taherian said that cooperation between universities, scientific and technological institutes will herald bright prospects for the two countries in various fields.

Iran's scientific institutes are ready for all-out cooperation with their Turkish counterparts to undertake joint scientific and technological projects, he said.

Serac, for his part, referred to the recent visit by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi to Ankara, saying that the two countries reached comprehensive deals during the visit.

'We hope for bright future of cooperation between Iran and Turkey,' he said.

Serac called for mutual resolve to develop cooperation of the two countries' scientific centers and scientists and researchers to undertake joint projects for research studies.
