He remembered a number of his teachers, especially his first grade teacher and added, "the authority of teachers should be returned to them. This is partly on themselves and partly on policy makers. The extent to which teachers are concerned themselves, they should constantly extend their knowledge by continuous study, being in touch with others and following trends. Policy-making institutions, on the other hand, should be concerned about teachers' livelihood since inconveniencing their livelihood will result in their output quality as well as hurting their social status."
