Art exhibition of Iranian artists opens in New Delhi

Works in varied fields of painting, calligraphy, graphic, typography, handicrafts, mosaic, ceramic, wood carving and other Iranian arts are being exhibited here for three days.
The works of two distinguished Iranian artists who ranked top, Roqieh and Nassrin Ba-Vafa, in the International Photographic Contests in Bangalore earlier this week, were also displayed in the exhibition. Rogieh and Nassrin are sisters.
Fifteen countries from all over the world took part in the contests held in Bangalore of India Feb. 25-27 while most trophies of the contest were won by participating Iranian artists.
The contesters presented nearly 1,000 photographic artworks in the contests, of which 41 were selected as exquisite works. Eleven of the exquisite works belonged to the Iranian artists.
