Du Jiang commended the participation of countries, including Iran, in the Silk Road International Cultural Expo and invited Iranian organizations and institutions to showcase their potentials in Chinese festivals and events.
Underlining the opportunities provided by the Silk Road, he said that in addition to Iran, there are many other countries which are eager to develop relations with China.
The festival is a social initiative which aims to enhance intercultural understanding by engaging communities and inspiring travel and technological innovations.
The Third Silk Road International Cultural Expo is to begin in Dunhuang, China, today and wrap up on Friday.
