According to IBNA correspondent quoting the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), in this edition of BIBF which was held from August 23 to 27, 2017 at the Convention Center of Beijing International Hotel, 2500 participants from 89 countries introduced their works and activities.
Iran took part in the event with the motto "The Colorful Dream of Silk Road”; the stand our country was located at the entrance of West Hall 2, New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC), covering an area of 500?.
In BIBF 2017, 13 publication institutes and 3 literary agencies from Iran displayed over 950 titles of books. Moreover, nine Iranian writers attended the event and a series of seminars on print industry, book promotion events, writers' dialogues, illustrators' shows and art performance took place during the book fair.
Concurrent with these programs, the week of Iranian movies was also held and six Iranian movies were screened.
China will be the guest of honor of Tehran International Book Fair 2019.
