Boriana Hristova made the comment in her meeting with Iran's Cultural Attaché in Bulgaria Mohammad-Ali Kiani, IRNA reported.
The Bulgarian, who has visited Iran several times, said that she is very interested in Iranian culture and highlighted the role of officials in boosting cultural ties.
Kiani pointed to the start of the 120th year of diplomatic ties between Iran and Bulgaria as a reliable case for close bilateral relations.
The cultures of the two countries have common roots and this has always paved the way for advancing bilateral relations, he noted.
