Salehi Amiri made the remarks in a meeting with Armenian Ambassador to Tehran Ardashes Tumanian.
Touching upon the Iran-Armenia historical and ancient-old relations, he called for expansion of relations between the national libraries of the countries.
Salehi Amiri also called for holding joint cultural exhibitions in two countries aimed at introducing the culture, traditions and history of two countries.
The Armenian envoy, for his part, called for expansion of relations between the two countries researchers.
Tumanian also invited Salehi Amiri to visit Armenia in near future.
The Armenian envoy also toured different sections of Iran's National Library.
