In a meeting with vice-chancellor of University of Shiraz, Enge Wang expressed pleasure over his visit to the university, saying that CAS is prepared for collaboration with the higher education center in various spheres, especially in the fields of computer scans and establishment of advanced laboratories.
CAS is the highest academic institute and comprehensive scientific research center in China.
Deputy Chancellor of University of Shiraz Seyyed Ali-Akbar Safavi, for his part, referred to the ancient ties between Iran and China, saying that the university welcomes further expansion of scientific cooperation at the international level.
He also proposed establishment of offices in both countries to help facilitate communications between the two academic centers.
Meanwhile, head of Scientific International Cooperation Center of University of Shiraz, Zohreh Azimi told the same meeting that both institutes will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) based on the talks held earlier in the fields of exchanging students and instructors, undertaking joint projects and organizing joint courses as well as international conferences.
The CAS is the highest academic institution and R&D centre in China. It has 100 branch institutes and two universities, and has created numerous commercial enterprises, including computer company Lenovo.
