China seeks to boost cultural ties with Iran

Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Cultural Trade Promotion Association Chunfeng Song told IRNA that despite the good level of political and economic relations between Iran and China, cultural cooperation between the two states are adequate although there have been suitable cultural activities over the past few years.

Rich cultural commonalities between Iran and China as well as cultural cooperation have always heralded a boost in all-out ties, he said.

Turning to Iran's cultural manifestations, the Chinese official added that Iran's handicrafts, as one of the most unique in the world, are highly valued in China.

Chunfeng pointed to the presence of Iranian artists in Chinese festivals, and said showcasing Iran's artworks has created enthusiasm toward Iranian culture.

Iran's handicrafts are world-famous that no one can get enough of them, once they are showcased, they will shine like the sun, he said.

The Chinese official invited Iran to all future exhibitions in China including the third international cultural investment conference which is slated to be held in China with the participation of 300 state institutes.
