Hojjat-ol Islam Moheyeddin Bahram Mohammadian said in the first assembly of OERP’s staff: We intend to produce textbooks for especial schools, international schools and exceptional talents and we are going to compile two new textbooks for abroad schools this year, Farsi language and social studies, reports Public Relations of OERP.
New contents for foreign languages
He continues: following Supreme Leader’s reminder for not concentrating on English language ALONE, we have already began production of contents for other languages’ textbooks, like German, Italian and France.
Documents of Laneh Jasoosi (former U.S embassy) in textbooks
Mohammadian claims: One of our programs is to set a study of the documents of “Laneh Jasoosi (former U.S embassy)”, knowing enemy and revealing negative role of United States in textbooks.
There were 34 new books for science and 99books for technical education produced last year and one of our new methods is involving teachers in preparation of textbooks contents and we have established a website for this purpose and this system will be developed this year.
Training teachers during service is another program and we have managed to have 2000 man/hour for senior teachers of provinces, added he.
Distributing 24 million free educational compact discs
Indicating that multi-compilation task has been executed last year in technical education section. This year we are going to expand this plan, said head of OERP. There were 24,000,000 educational CDs were distributed along with textbooks, last year. Improving Rosh network, we are going to reduce number of CDs and publish the contents online on Rosh network.
Responding to complaints about volume of textbooks
There are different opinions in this respect, some criticize teachers’ performance or some say they don’t use the time efficiently, to study this, a research is conducted by research center and the results will be applied in revision of educational program, says Mohammadian.
He continued: Sessions for studying and criticizing new textbooks is another program which would be carried out. We are going to experiment “combined books” which means combining 5 books, for example, into 2 books. There is going to be a trial at the first three grades of elementary school.
Reconstruction of Darolfonoon
Declaring that Darolfonoon is the pride of country’s educational system, head of OERP said: Darolfonoon which was abandoned and almost ruined is now a landmark and a tourist attraction, thanks to OERP persuasion and cooperation of Iran Cultural Heritage Organization, but there are still repairs and reconstructions which we hope would be made with the help of Management and Programming organization and Minister of communications.
