Conference on Contemporary Persian Literature held in Turkey

Sponsored by the Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Consulate General in Erzurum, the conference was actually a closing ceremony for the short and medium term courses of the Persian language and literature in Erzurum in that city's Ataturk University.

Ataturk University Chancellor Saadi Chugnali said in the conference that the rich Persian literature has great and internationally renowned poets and writers and the contemporary Iranian literature enjoys such a rich background.

'The contemporary Iranian literature, just like that country's ancient literature has achieved a special status in the world literature.'

Meanwhile, Nemat Yildirim, the head of Faculty of Persian Language and Literature of Ataturk University appreciated the Iranian Cultural Attaché in Erzurum for providing the required opportunities, offering short term Persian language and literature courses, and sponsoring such events for the students of Persian language.
