Contemplation is the axis of all activities

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Organization for Research and Educational Planning, a scientific-expert meeting on “Explaining the Purposeful Pattern of a Naturalized Curriculum” with the presence of the directors and faculty members of the research organization was held in the auditorium of the research organization. At the meeting, Dr. Ali Zualm, head of the Institute of Culture and Social Studies of the Institute of Islamic Culture and Thought, stated that the fulfillment of the values ​​and ideals of the Islamic Revolution requires a comprehensive attempt in all cultural, scientific, social and economic aspects. Acquiring education is one of the most important infrastructures of the excellence of the country's comprehensive development in various fields. In this way, the fulfillment of the supreme ideals of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, such as the revival of the great Islamic civilization, the presence of a constructive, active and leading role among nations, and the preparation for the establishment of justice and spirituality in the world, is to educate transcendental humans with high spirit and excellent values.

He added that the year when the objectives of the courses were adopted and subsequently the national curriculum was developed, the question was, where the fundamentals of goals are? These are the foundations of the truth that must be discovered and produced in a forum composed of opinioners and using wisdom and a collective agreement?

Referring to the natural laws governing the universe, he added: “These rules are already well understood by people and they coordinate with it. For example, they know that in order to have warm water they have to heat it and that it can not be heated in the vicinity of the cold. It is, of course, natural that a false diagnosis results in a false result.”

Indeed, we have discovered the goals from the foundation of the Transformation Document. It is sometimes said that education should not be ideological; which is false and in fact fundamentally, education is ideological. It has a certain direction and meaning. However, in each of the communities, they are applying their own theoretical foundations; sometimes secularism, sometimes Christian and sometimes Islamic. Not the Islam of Salafi, Wahhabi, Isis, or the American Islam, but pure Mohammadan Islam. Therefore, in formulating the curriculum, based on the pure Mohammadan Islam has been emphasized and Islamic theoretical foundations have been established. These goals were derived from these principles, and a defined system has become conceptual model network. In this perspective, man has a nature, which backs the soul. Therefore, the objective is a single truth and can not be multiplied. The ultimate goal is the goal that human was created on its basis which is to reach transcendental.

 Dr. Zualm, referring to the five keywords of reason, faith, science, practice and ethics predicted in the national curriculum, added that these are 5 keywords, 5 values, 5 indicators and criteria. But in the process of education, the main axis is contemplation. Because not only faith, but also other things without reason, are worthless; and science and art should serve humanity and solve the human society's problems in order to become valuable. In such circumstances, acquiring knowledge is considered to be worship. He referred to hypocrisy as the weakness of faith and defective reasoning. At the end the participants of the meeting discussed their questions and Dr. Zulam answered the questions.
