Course on Quranic journalism underway in Kabul

According to AWA news agency, it has been organized by Afghanistan’s Supreme Quran Council in cooperation with the news agency.
Abbas Hassanzadeh, the head of the council, said that more than 40 women from the region have taken the short term course.
The participants have been selected from among university and seminary students and teachers of the city.
Those who successfully pass the course will be granted certificates by the Supreme Quran Council of Afghanistan.
The trained journalists will cover Quranic news and events in different parts of the country.
Given the importance of dissemination of Quranic and Islamic culture and teachings, the council was also organized various courses to train teachers in different Quranic fields including Quran reading, recitation, Tajweed principles, Quran translation, and Quranic concepts, he said.
