Culture minister stresses boost in Iran-Iraq cultural exchanges

Salehi referred to numerous historic, civilizational and cultural commonalities between the two nations and their ongoing extensive cooperation, saying that grounds are prepared for further development of cultural relations. The Iranian minister visited several cultural centers at the end of his five-day visit to Iraq to get acquainted with their activities.

Salehi arrived in Baghdad late Monday on a five-day official visit to the country, accompanied by several of his deputies.

During his trip to the neighboring state, Salehi sat down for talks with top-ranking Iraqi officials including Vice President Nouri Al-Maliki and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Humam Hamoudi.
