Alireza Kazemi, in the opening ceremony of the forty-seventh film festival in Mashhad on November 24, 2017, said that this year Mashhad was named as the cultural capital of the Islamic world by the ISESCO.
He described the holding of educational festivals and the making of scientific films as a way of transferring education from the book format to the arena of art, saying: “As a proof of history, Iran has always been among the countries of the cradle of civilization and culture, and over the centuries Iranians have focused on culture and civilization.”
He said: “In the contemporary era, as a result of the link between Iranian culture and spirituality and Islam and the range of performing arts, especially in visual arts and cinema, the world has witnessed the creation of great works in Islamic Iran.”
The use of the seventh art platform in scientific, educational and training practices
Mr. Kazemi added: "Given the fact that the spectral view and periodical perceptions as well as the phenomenological approach are distinctive features of the seventh art in relation to peripheral issues, and, on the other hand, through the active, effective educational and training course in an interactive process, gradual and revelatory, with the use of global experiences, the approach to using the art of the seventh art was formed in scientific, educational and educational practices.
In-depth training for educational purposes
Director General of Khorasan Razavi Education Office said that the International Film Festival has grown up with more than four decades in Iran with the presence of filmmakers, prominent directors of Iran and the world, critics of cinema, and in recent years young filmmakers and even local students for creativity, innovation and a new and revelatory look at teaching, education was introduced to the arena of art.
Mr. Kazemi added: “In the Document on the fundamental transformation of Iran's Islamic education, based on the Islamic Doctrine, national, and world experiences and the standards of the Islamic system, has put the education in six areas of belief, ethics and worship, political, social, artistic and beautiful cognitive, biological and physical, economic, scientific and technological, in the direction of the life of the Fallibles.”
He also said that the film Roshd with creativity has been able to transfer education to the arena of art and deepen the educational level.
The use of cinema as a strategy
He said that in the Document on the fundamental transformation there is emphasis on training and education of decent people by using the art of cinema, so the use of art of cinema as a specific strategy has become common in the education curriculum.
