He delivered a speech in the ceremony and said that teachers are the cornerstone of educational system and added that the key duties of the social institution of education include building a nation-state and introducing the social order. He remarked that students of different background, ethnicity and language are covered by the same educational system and thereafter a nation forms.
He further added that foundations of social, cultural and economic orders form in education and later develop in the society.
He considered teachers as role models for the new generation and reminded the audience of the critical role of teachers in social and cultural development of the country.
