Education, the Key Agent for Global Peace and Sustainable Development

He added, 'in many educational systems, including ours, there are challenges stemmed from consecutive environmental changes and increasing spread of innovations and new technologies. All these issues make education and the sustainable development goals of countries an inevitable necessity. Eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, achieving universal primary education, promoting gender equality and empowering women, reducing child mortality rates, improving maternal health, combatting HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases, ensuring environmental sustainability and developing a global partnership for development are among the important goals of the sustainable development that all states have to struggle for in which education is the most important pillar and instrument for developing countries.'

In another part of his speech he pointed to Incheon statement on education 2030 and the related framework of action and said, 'all states should invest in education that is the basis of development of any country so that quality education and promoting equal opportunities as an agent of global peace and development is guaranteed.'
