Education minister: ISESCO plays an important role in the convergence of Islamic countries

According to the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Education, Seyyed Mohammad Bathayi said at the meeting of the ISESCO’s National High Council in Iran that ISESCO can have a very effective role in the convergence of Islamic countries and in the international arena as well; while It seems that today, this role and influence has not found its true place in the international arena.

The Minister of Education noted that the existence of the ISESCO office in Iran is a privilege to Iran, and this is an opportunity that other countries do not have. Assistance to other ISESCO affiliates could lead to the promotion of its position in the diplomacy of Islamic countries. We have to get out of this passive state of affairs and rather use more of the ISESCO’s capacity, he reaffirmed.

ISESCO or the Islamic, Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization established in May 1979. Its headquarters is in Rabat, Morocco, and 57 Islamic countries, including Iran, are members of this organization. It is worth mentioning that the organization was established with the aim of coordinating and expanding educational, scientific, and cultural cooperation, inspired by the goals and teachings of Islam among Islamic countries.
