Saying that Corona Virus is not over yet and we have to be ready to tackle this disease in the future, President Hassan Rouhani told the Minister of Education in a telephone conversation that the Education Ministry should be prepared to continue educational programs in the case of another outbreak nest year.
President Rouhani appreciated teachers and Education Ministry’s staff, who managed to continue educations through Corona outbreak and helping that the slogan of “schools are closed but education goes on” come true.
“online education was very helpful and effective to continue the education of children and students.”
The President also said that it is necessary to use the experience of the past few months of distance education to ensure the effectiveness of programs and eliminate the shortcomings of online education to prepare for the next school year.
Rouhani added: “Educational centres and teachers should provide access to quality and complete education for all students. We need to plan carefully to prevent disruptions in educations and harming educational opportunities of students.”
Referring to family’s involvement in students’ educations and active participation of students as positive outcomes of online educations in the time of Corona outbreak, he appreciated teachers and school staff who attended schools in recent weeks to answer students' questions which was effective in “improving students and the quality of education.”
Saying that Corona Virus is not over yet, President Rouhani stressed that we have to be ready to tackle this disease in the future. “Education Ministry should plan to continue education with Corona’ New protocols should be passed for educational environment by cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
Mohsen Haji Mirzaei, the Minister of Education, on his turn gave a full report on the process of providing education to students using television and cyberspace and other methods including Student Education Network (Shad), providing self-educate packages and online classes for answering questions.
He added: “The efforts of the country's teachers and educational staff helped the education to continue despite the outbreak of the Coronavirus; we will do our best to have exams in the country with observing all health protocols so the students and their parents should not worry at all."
