Dr. Mohammadian, as the opening speaker at the ceremony, said: “The Roshd Film Festival is a young festival, but is one of the oldest art festivals in the country that seeks to bring education closer to the student's life;” adding that the Document on the fundamental transformation of education has recommended the use of modern facilities. Accordingly, the textbook will not be our only educational tool for the purpose; and to this end, various media that can facilitate and deepen education can be used in the education system.
“The sound, the image and the film can be effective on human emotion, and the film can be the closest space to our biological experience, the film can also shorten the time of instruction, but gives more opportunity to learn and increases the amount of effectiveness,” he said.
He also noted: “Today, there are other new media that can be joined to the film to become a package of education and to be used in learning.” And he emphasized that we must take the educational film economy seriously. Educational film is not expenditure, but an investment.
It is worth mentioning that Governor of Khorasan Razavi, Deputy Minister of Education, Education Director General of Khorasan Razavi, mayor of Mashhad and a group of filmmakers were present at the ceremony.
