President in SCCR session:
Eid al-Ghadeer strengthens unity in Muslim World/Recent victories promise uprooting of terrorism, regional development/The need to make effective decisions for preventing student accidents
President Rouhani congratulated the Eids of Fitr, Ghadeer and Adha and said: “The Great Prophet’s remarks in the Farewell Pilgrimage and the event of Ghadeer are the turning point in the history of the Islamic World and a source of pride for the Shiites”.
Speaking on Tuesday in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution (SCCR), the President said: “All Muslims are unanimous about the greatness of Imam Ali (AS) and his place before the Prophet of Islam (SA)”.
Referring to the latest victories of the resistance front against terrorists in Mosul, Aleppo, Talafar, Deirazur and Arsal, he said: “We hope the latest victories, including in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon promise us the rooting out of terrorism and development and cooperation in the region”.
Dr Rouhani also described people’s massive turnout in elections, Majlis’ vote of confidence and the Supreme Leader’s support as the greatest support for the 12th Administration.
He also mentioned the tragic bus accident that left a number of students dead and injured, expressing condolences to the bereaved families, adding: “In addition to the short-term decisions made in this regard, I ordered long-term plans to amend regulations”.
