Coincided with the beginning of Research Week, an electronic curriculum operational model was unveiled by Organization for Educational Research and Planning (OERP) on December 16.
According to Public Relations and International Affairs Office at the organization, the model has been provided as a joint venture by Bureau of Educational Technology and Publications at OERP and Allameh Tabatabaei university.
Dr. Mehdi Vahedi, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Allameh Tabatabai University, was in charge of the project.
the model was unveiled by Dr. Hassan Maleki, Deputy Minister of Education and Head of OERP, Dr. Ali Mohebbi, Deputy for Curriculum Planning and Production of Training and Learning Packages, Mohammad Alavi Tabar, Deputy for Resources Development and Support at OERP and other managers, as well.
At the ceremony, Dr. Vahedi presented a report on the process of conducting research and preparing the so-called model.
He pointed out that in the basics section of the model, three spheres of philosophical foundations, technology and e-learning have been considered. "Furthermore, special model of the electronic curriculum has been regarded."
Also, Dr. Hassan Maleki noted: "The new model is an unprecedented scientific and educational phenomenon. I have already stressed that prior to electronic content production, we must pay attention to electronic curriculum, which also needs to be conducted based on research."
“We do not require purely scientific products; rather, we want products that merge science and our values.”
Head of OERP concluded: "We should not directly produce electronic content. Before that, electronic curriculum standards should be regarded as the basis; hence, the new model will be a foundation for providing an electronic curriculum by experts.”
