Environmental sensitivity should begin from the early age

The weather was clear on January 29, according to the reporter. This year, we experienced clean air in Tehran for about 20 days. This situation is more or less applicable to large cities. In addition, Iran is involved with four major environmental crises, including the water, soil, air and biodiversity crisis; and despite this, not only ordinary people, but even many top officials of the country are not familiar with any of these crises, and this can be seen in their decisions on these crises.

From the academic year 2018-2019, the subject of the environment was included in the text book “Human and the Environment” for fifth year students of the high school and so entered the curriculum.

The purpose of this book is to educate the students on the environment in order to give them a good knowledgeable for the mother earth. In this book, natural capital city is taught, and it teaches students how to properly use and preserve nature. The book familiarizes the student with the environmental challenges that the country is involved with and gives the student an environmental look. In addition, in most schools, teachers are asked to take the exam formally, and in this course they will give the students a good grade score regardless of the exam paper; as in many parts of the book, its content is not applicable.

It is proposed that the lessons of this book in the first or second year of high school, does not require complex requirements or prerequisites that the first and second high year students would not understand them. Of course, the experts believe that environmental education should start from the beginning elementary school, and the more they go forward, they get more specialized.
