Deputy Minister and Head of OERP, Dr. Mohammadian said that promoting fair and equal educational opportunities for all school-age children is among the goals of educational reform charters and the policies of the system of Islamic Republic. He defined educational fairness as ability of all Iranian children to have access to quality education regardless of their gender, ethnicity, religion, social class and region.
He noted deprived and marginalized children and appealed to protection and charity organizations such as Welfare Organization, Emdad Committee and municipalities to pay more attention to such groups and added that although extending educational services to them is difficult it is not impossible. He mentioned NGOs and rated their outreach as one way to be supported.
